Assuring that your organization has adequate financial resources to fulfill its mission and realize its vision is one of the most important responsibilities of the organization's leadership as a whole.  But many organizations have a governing board and foundation board and struggle with collaboration between the two. Learn how Ric Swierat, Executive Director for Arc of Westchester and Nancy Patota, Executive Director for Arc of Westchester Foundation, work together in a committed partnership to raise awareness and secure funding for Arc of Westchester’s innovative programs and services throughout Westchester County.

 Some topics to be discussed:

  • Understanding the critical role fundraising plays in the organization’s capacity to serve.
  • Establishing a separate foundation right for your organization - the pros and cons.
  • Creating a fundraising plan together, including collaboration between Board of Directors.
  • Integrating the organization’s activities with fundraising initiatives for greater success.
