PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear ADO Friends:

The year is flying by!

Summer is right around the corner and much excitement is on the horizon for ADO. We have had quite a year thus far and we are not slowing down anytime soon. From our inspiring philanthropy breakfast to our monthly meetings, to our networking events and informative workshops we have packed in quite a bit so far. I feel such a sense of pride whenever I attend one of our events. The buzz and excitement is wonderful!

ADO wants to make sure that you are well informed as we want to provide you with useful information and valuable resources. It is our hope that you enjoy this newsletter.

We have many exciting events on the horizon and we are always planning ways to build upon the strengths we have as a group. We love to hear suggestions from members, so please share your ideas! You may also consider serving on our board or one of our committees. Feel free to ask any of the current board members about their experience.

We also need you to help ADO by spreading the word to colleagues. I like to think that all non-profits know about us, but I am always surprised when I meet someone who has not heard of our group. Word of mouth is the most effective way to introduce someone to ADO.

I look forward to seeing all of you at future events.

Adam Kintish, ADO President

SCHOLARSHIPS

A testimonial from a recent scholarship recipient:

Gratitude is such an important part of successful fund development, and is a favorite part of my work as a fundraiser. I want to take this opportunity to express genuine gratitude to The Association of Development Officers for awarding me a partial scholarship to enhance and add to my skills through enrollment in a Major Gifts fundraising course. ADO's support, its commitment to its members and its determination to continually increase our awareness of this important and rewarding profession are invaluable. A very personal thank you, ADO, for helping me to make a difference for others.

Best, Amy
