The U.S. Trust Study of the Philanthropic Conversation identifies disconnects between the wealthy and their financial advisors with respect to the subject of giving. Because individuals and families are increasingly relying on advisors to help them integrate their philanthropic pursuits into their overarching wealth plan, there may be need to educate financial planners more about philanthropy. – more

New York State Passes the "Nonprofit Revitalization Act"
The first major reform of New York’s charities laws in 40 years has been passed by the State Legislature. It will reduce unnecessary and outdated burdens on nonprofits and enhance nonprofit oversight and governance to prevent fraud and improve public trust. – more
